On December 1, 2009, Father William Wiethorn, OFM, Cap was appointed Delegate for Religious for the Diocese of Cleveland by Bishop Richard Lennon.

Office Mission: The Office for Religious, as an office in the Secretariat for Clergy and Religious Personnel, has as its mission: to assist the Bishop in his responsibilities to the women and men religious of the diocese. The Director of the office represents the Bishop to religious, to animate, encourage and support them in their vocation to consecrated life. The Coordinator of Vocations to Consecrated Life collaborates with this office to minister to the men and women involved in vocation and formation ministry in their respective congregations.
